Vulcan support for Dota2 and other DLCs
Hi

One of my mates just told me that Vulcan (Valve's graphic API technonoly) should be enabled in the DLC section of Dota2 (for more FPS) and I am surprised that it wasn't enabled per default. Here is what my DLC list looked like before he told me about it:

Does anyone know anything about this? And what about OpenGL support, should I enable it as well?

All feedback (about this subject) is welcome :)

EDIT: Ok my graphic became weird after enabling Vulcan. It starts flickering. The HUD started dissapearing and appearing quickly. Had to turn it off. Maybe Vulcan is not supported on my Nvidia GT 640M

He said "All feedback is welcome" so I gave him a random feedback

Vulcan is NOT Valve's API zzz, Vulcan is the next gen OpenGL, support started as kind of a beta thing on Dota, so if you want to try it, download the DLC, no harm if not, not everyone's GPU supports Vulcan, just like not everyone can run DirectX 12, do you understand now boieee.

Sometimes I wonder if Dota2 just produces idiots. One would assume, that the feedback I am asking for is regarding the topic itself. I am talking about faster performance here, not to start a flame war...

All feedback (about this subject) is welcome <-- is this specific enough for you?

don't install both vulkan dlc and opengl dlc together, choose one of them.

since the DLC is for free, why should it be enabled by default.

it is up to us to decide which dlc we want to install for this game or that game on steam and that is what those dota 2 devs did. giving us the option to choose which dlc to install.

you think intel hd graphics card drivers are supported to run vulkan DLC????? everyone will say no.

only certain nvidia geforce graphics card driver and amd radeon graphics card driver are compatible with Vulkan DLC.

your friend don't know that and it seems like you don't know that as well.

and like what "No more heroes" wrote in his post, Vulkan DLC is not valve nor steam's API technology.

Vulkan API belongs to Khronos Group.

this link below are the amd radeon graphics card drivers that are compatible with Vulkan DLC.

this link below are the nvidia geforce graphics card drivers that are compatible with Vulkan DLC.
