Dota 2
I keep getting Hard Support as my role in Ranked Roles Queue
So this has happened to me like 9 times in a row, when I solo queue I pick both support roles as they're mandatory and Offlane, but I keep getting Hard Support as my role, wtf is wrong with that system, how does it exactly work.
That system Is completely broken and should be fixed right away.

If this trade off makes your gaming better depends on your judgement and your personal consequences.

I understand the cores part, I've read about that before and it's perfectly understandable, and I'm ok with playing support, mostly soft support, but I was wondering if there was some kind of varible; aside from the inherent feature you mentioned in your comment, that causes a player to always get the HARD support role.
Thanks for your comment anyways

You always queue with supports role so you have a free token, but you don't stockpile these token, if I understood well. The reason they always give you pos 5 is that there is a lack of pos 5, if you tick it you are almost guaranted to be put in this role. Because the other players will stockpile 4 token if they tick all roles, so they can queue only for one role afterwards. You are getting matched with these people ticking only 1 role.

Here is a better solution. Q all 5 roles > youll probably still get hard support but if not ask someone if they would like to trade roles for one you prefer more > use your 4 ranked tokens and play the actual roles you want without qing for support or repeat process until you have 40 tokens or w.e. Solved.

If you dont understand how the system looks at the pool of players of similar mmr and behavior score and checks roles they selected, then dota gonna be a super hard game for you. Good luck

So you selected option for hard support and were given hard support.i don't see the issue here.

Consider it to be an inherent feature of the ranked roles queue which enforces a 3:2 core to support ratio which the player base can‘t or doesn‘t want to provide. So I just have to spend the tokens, play a few games as support, get a few free tokens, spend them, repeat.
Thanks for the advice

It may increase your queue time a bit, but yes, it is the only solution to that unless you play with premade team!

Because hard support is a high demand role you get this role almost every time you don‘t insist on another role. The reason for this is that in the ranked roles mode the players can‘t decide freely on the final setup. The mode urges the players to play 3 cores and 2 supports although the player base has a, let‘s say 4:1 core to support ratio. Thus it only makes sense to play ranked roles if you believe in the fixed 3:2 core to support ratio and you are willing to sacrifice your free role selection for that.

Already put it in practice, yeah I usually take like 10 minutes to find a game, but I'm having a way better performance.
Thanks again!

You are welcome, given I'm pos 5 90% of my games, I know the struggle if I get put in another role!
