Packet loss (RTO) issues on DOTA 2 SEA Sever using GLOBE ISP in Philippines since July 25, 2016
A lot of Globe ISP subscribers are experiencing constant packet loss every 3-5 mins causing lag spikes and disconnections. A lot of local tech forums in PH are also reporting the same problem. We appreciate any help you can give us. Thanks!

if you have Windows 10 Home Edition that might be at fault. win10 uses your computer as a download base for others to download updates.

My lag spikes started just recently I doubt windows would start downloading updates now

nothing works for me it won't even try to connect.. I can use browsers and anything outside dota even the in game overlay web browser.. dota itself is getting 0 from WTFast and this leads me to conclude that it has something to do with the physical connection that Globe uses to SG that's causing periodic problems.. evne with the VPN you still suffer the packetloss.. either find a way to have 2 hops in between PH>SG(resulting in high ping) e.g. PH>>HKG>>SG or just play in japan until it gets fixed lol

Do keep in mind that it's working perfectly fine for me and we're both using the same ISP. I personally think it's with your wtfast settings.

Aside from SG, I can also use HK and Malaysia as my wtfast server and they both give me <100 ping. Have you tried at least troubleshooting your wtfast?

didn't really bother with it too much after I didn't get it working i looked up for about 20mins and just gave up and played in the JP servers instead
It's globe. what do you expect?

Why don't you go braindead elsewhere considering you people can't learn to bother using Steamstat.us to see if servers are up or down and considering noone but Pinoys complaining about Bad Connection out of all the SEA Majority and I don't see PLDT which is the 2nd ISP they have not complaing but GLOBE. So their ISP is the problem and to complain here where GLOBE has ZERO Authorization or Tech Help is so useless and pointless.
This issue still occurs. I contacted Globe. Told them that many people experience this and that this is not an individual case. The best thing that they can do is to file a report regarding this problem. Well, better that than nothing. I'm not hoping for a good, useful outcome though, but we'll see.

In this dimension, there are 3 infinite things.
1) Universe
2) Winrar Free trial
3) Your stoopidity

The title of this thread is clearly:

So unless you play the game DOTA on a regular basis (w/c you don't, not even 100hrs of game play) and is actually a GLOBE subscriber (Which clearly you are NOT). Then GET THE ♥♥♥♥♥ OFF THIS THREAD.

It's like you barging into a brothrel then asking the clerk if they give holy communion. If you were a monster on RPG, you'd be the i-Troll. (I-dioot troll).
People obviously are looking for answers and the more that word spreads out, or news or updates the better.

So mind your own ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ forsakened c-=unt f-=uck business.
Benn loosing several games because of the DC's . contacted globe and they are not even aware of this . they don't know how to fix this.
is this issue already fixed? if not therefore I'll be playing solo for now hahaha cant join my team

I addressed the problem to Globe twitter account, and I was able to get a response from them.

"Hi ****. Now we were able to get in touch with Valve SEA's office and according to their report, they've made some changes to the data pathways between their servers and Globe's. I won't go into technical details, but you can expect significant improvements in your gaming experience moving forward.

Let us know your experience within the next few days so we can validate the resolution of this incident."

Seems lip service to me. No specific information as to how long until this issue will be resolved was relayed and it sucks. I'm not an expert regarding data pathways and stuff, but this issue has been going on for more than a month. This thread even started July 27. I'm fairly certain that "changing data pathways" won't take this long. In my personal experience, I had this particular issue twice. First, about July up to the first week of August, then again on September 3 until now.

Gosh I hope that this will be fixed sooner than later.

Because playing with you Pinoys on the SEA servers makes DOTA 2 feel like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ MOBA since you all only care about farming and never bother pushing. No wonder a lot of SEA players wished Valve makes an exclusive PH Servers only. More sense majority of SEA players rather play LoL on NA or Garena to filter you out.
