They have the sad misconception they can get an advantage on the enemy by leveling faster. Usually that is the only mechanic of the game they think they understand. However they are confused as to why no matter what they do they are never ahead of the enemy, so like a morong if first you dont succeed try try again, then try some more, then keep trying until your blue in the face, never give up. no matter how low their MMR goes, just keep making the same mistakes over and over.
Pride is what looses games in dota, so much more than the lack of skill.
