How good is a Macbook pro for DOTA 2?

For work related reasons, I will be getting a top line macbook pro in the coming days. I just wanted to know if anyone has issues playing DOTA 2 in macbook pro. As I searched, all I could find was 'macbooks are not for gaming' chorus and bashing in most of the places. If anyone has first hand experience, please respond

-os version
-other things that might help

well what about mine I'm really interested in to start dota 2 for good but I can't be sure about my Macbook Pro specs for your answer here are they;

Retina Mid 2015
IPS panel, 2880 x 1800 pixels
Core i7 2.8-4980HQ
16 GB RAM
1 TB DDR 3
Iris Pro Graphics 5200 1536Mb
Radeon R9 M370X 2Gb

That will run great. Dota2 performs perfectly on my mid-2012 macbook pro, it will definitely work on yours

I have had no issues playing on my Macbook till now. And it's been almost an year since I bought it. Great thing about th Mac is that, xcode and Android Studio runs effortlessly and has very quick build times.

you can play but not as good as a true gaming pc

Heat, why? My mac has never heated up even once while gaming for the >3 years I've been using it.

they are made to be quiet not cool during gaming sessions
even if is not on fire they get very hot about 100c so to counter that the cpu and gpu lower the performance to lower the heat then you go from 80 fps to 55

They were lagging the first time I played a game on. So opt for a customized pc.

at low settings you can get 60 but not sure for how long or constant 60 because mac laptops dont have a fan they use passive cooling and they get reallly hot ,hot=the pc automatically lowers you cpu performance.
i suggest thet you get a gaming pc or laptop if you really want to game
