morphling veil of discord + ethereal blade
does it stack? should i use it?
i never saw anyone using it

well, yes, but since the eth blade's damage scales with morph's agility, why would even bother with an item that doesn't give him that much?

hmm but using veil + ethereal on a target will guarantee a kill ? 40%+ veil extra magic = stacked magic damage?

Morphling is also a right-click carry in addition to the (all magical) Ethereal Blade + Adaptive Strike (+ Waveform) shotgun combo. If he relies on just magic damage, then all you need is BKB and Pipe of insight to negate the damage, in which case Veil of Discord on him is rendered useless. But if Morphling also has right-click carry damage items like Butterfly, Manta Style, and Eye of Skadi, then he has at least something to fall back on for damage output and is not rendered useless. It's the same reasoning why you don't see him built with Dagon. Even if his magic damage is mitigated, Ethereal Blade isn't a complete waste as it gives a really good boost to Agility, i.e., right-click damage. Dagon and Veil of Discord do not.
