[Troubleshoot] Can't Self-Cast with Alt since latest update

I did change a few settings, but I did not change the ones that seem most obvious to me.

I have the following on:
In hotkeys:
"Double tap ability to self cast"
"Smart Double Tap"

In Options:
"Double Tap Ability to Self Cast"
"Smart Double Tap"


I don't believe I changed them, and yet self-casting no longer works.

Any ideas?

I've tried restarting, unchecking and rechecking the options, and played multiple games with self-casting not working.

Alright, I've uninstalled dota, deleted any extra files, and reinstalled. Alt self-casting still doesn't work. In fact, double tapping self casting isn't working. It was working fine about a week ago, and now it doesn't.

Has anyone else been having this problem? I'm highly interested in hearing who else is having this issue?

oh man i thought it was only me, before the last update i can use Alacrity to selfcast using alt+D or alt+F, but now i ahve to disable the quickcast to do that is that normal?

I'll test disabling quick cast and see how that affects things.

Sooooooooo..... Anyone have any idea if valve is going to fix this? It's clearly a bug. Of course you should be able to quick-cast on self. I ONLY use quick cast, so I don't even have normal cast keys bound.

Hmm... I rebound my keys to all normal cast, and then rebound them again to quick cast, and it seems to be functioning normally for bloodseeker's Q and for TP scrolls.

Despite working, I had to do this again the next time I started the game.

Hey, this bug was like 5 years ago. If you've got the same bug, it is likely a new one, and a new post should probably be created.
I haven't played dota 2 in several years. They've just constantly changed so much that I can't keep up with it. I don't want to have to learn a new game every few months. Consequently, I don't remember at all whether I got it working or not.
