Lesson : Always skip treasure opening.
i bought loads of treasures in the time ive been playing Dota2 and never got a rare/ultra rare etc.

My friends however always skip the spinning animation of treasures and seem to get more luck then me.

the International 2016 Cache for example. I bought 13 of them and got no rares, (Did not skip animations)

A friend of mine bought 7 and got all 3 rares within the first 5 Treasures. (He skipped the animations)

Talk about bad luck :) or is it just the skips that give luck

Or it's just chance- I never skip the animations and from recent treasures I've gotten the WD immortal (traded it away for the Shadow Shaman rare drop before I realized how valuable it was) and the Pheonix immortal from the first TI treasure.

Anyone knows if skipping treasure animations gives better rewards?

After youtubing for treasure opening i found out that it might be smarter to skip animation.

meh I'm doing something better. i opened the first chest and got omni's immortal. it was the immortal that I wanted, lucky me. since I couldn't care less about the other immortals, I'm just going to hoard the chests and sell them later.

with the extra money, since the chests are usually more expensive than the immortals themselves, i can buy anything else that suits me.

meh, sure I don't get the excitment of opening a chest and maybe getting a rare or ultra rare drop, but what are the odds anyway? i rarely get anything cool from these chets. going to play safe this time.
