6k players always got like +5mmr haha
so win 5 games to have a 0% quote
thats what i know from 2k15 around..
maybe it ♥♥♥ back again :(
I fap to my mmr a bit too much, i am always 100% sure what mmr i am currently at.
It has to do with the MMR spread as already pointed out. You're immortal rank. Your "problem" is that you're a little too good. Because you have a negative handicap in most of your recent games, that means when you win games that you are expected to stomp, you get less MMR and when you lose games that you are expected to stomp, you lose more MMR. Since matchmaking can't always find 10 players of the exact same MMR, there's a disparity in the MMR spread that looks like it's usually in your favor.
If you're not already in a league team and you're interested in more competitive play, I would recommend joining an amateur or semi-amateur league team.
Its just redicilous that 4 wins makes up for 1 loss. Despite which rank you are. It doesnt ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ matter if you are Archon or top 5000 on leaderboard. You should never loss 36 mmr, and only win 3-15? Then remake the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ queue system so i get queued up with people on my own level.
At Immortal rank, it would likely take a lot longer than "10 mins extra" to get a near perfectly matched MMR spread between both teams.
It's not really the game's fault. The higher your MMR, the lower the player pool is going to be for players of the same MMR. If you don't like being subjected to MMR penalties in solo pubs, then I would suggest making friends with as many closely matched legitimate players as you can and queuing for party games, although this will only guarantee that your team is evenly matched. To find a team to play against, matchmaking may have to pick from lower MMR players (resulting in a negative handicap) or higher MMR players.
Standard ELO rating systems in online and real games such as chess, also work in this manner, where if a higher ELO player loses to a lower ELO player, the higher ELO player loses more rating and the lower player gains more rating.
As an alternative consideration, you don't always have to play ranked.
Otherwise there is only peak hours i can play dota. If i play between 4:00 and 8:00 pm i get fair matches.
