hp is not a stat that you're looking to get on faceless, sure hp can be useful but you can pretty much say that for every hero, and other items give more attack speed for less gold
You cannot attack at all in Chrono if you have no bkb and void supposed to deal most damage in Chrono.
He also need attack speed more then just stats, as big amount of his damage cones from procs wether it bash, mjolnir, mkb or anything else.
You only get manta against characters with early silence skills or roots to preserve your bkb duration.
Bkb is basically a must on any carry and an "I'm ready to fight" item.
You can position yourself against lich with + 200 cast range and hex? It's prettyuch fullscreen.
Against bane with lense and talent?
Honestly skipping bkb on carries especially void is very bad idea. Game losing one, unless enemy have a team of I don't know what. I've been winning a lot of games because of this mistake and I don't see void enemy that often.
Manta is usually taken for it's dispell. Yes it gives speed of movement and some stats but it is usually not enough to kill people in Chrono and not that much needed to farm as void is mobile with his timewalk. Survivability is also not that important for void as he doesn't manfight but deals his damage in cheonosphere. You also often have to choose between this and bkb and bkb actually guarantee that you will be the one deciding outcome of the match and not enemy supports. Unless you want "forced fifty".
