Last pick a huge advantage

The last hero pick in a game can be a huge advantage, some heroes can only "effectively" be countered by heroes and so often they get the last GG pick.

Not sure how to solve this though, what heroes are good to pick to stop these GG picks?

they can just do that both team have last pick and its hidden, if both players pick the same heroes, they repick or something like that

how about the 1st person who pick gets most starting gold and the last least. this way ppl would pick faster. just hate those teammates who just sits there and plays dead. WHY PLAY DOTA IF DON'T KNOW WHAT TO PICK?

This game is meant to be played that way. If your team doesn't have huge flaws then your enemy won't have huge advantage.

Some heroes are most EASILY countered by another hero, but there for nearly every situation there are also items that can do the job as well. Make sure your team picks a variety of heroes that can cover different situations, especially with slight tweaks in item-choices.

but in the end, it's literally "not fair".
like, think about it.
one team, has to pick first, which means that first pick gets countered, they pick 2, then you get to pick 2, the two that they have showing are supports typically so it'll be hard to "counter" those with your next 2 picks when in reality you want to counter their cores.
so they seen your first pick, then they get to see your other support AND a core, before they start drafting cores, ONTOP OF THAT they get the very last pick.

lately i'll just gladly lose gold to get that last pick, or if i dont get the "very last pick" then i'll just go sniper or zeus. unless they've already picked their mid, which i doubt they did. i mean i'll put a lil thought behind my pick, like last game i didn't get last pick.. and they had PL showing so i went razor and safelane went sven, i went something like 20-7, their last pick was void spirit, who i stomped. but honestly if the enemy did a blademail hero or just picked something cheesy like meepo i prob would've lost.

what i'm getting at is .. the current "draft" turn is kind of broken right now.

T1: Picks 1 (1)
T2: Picks 1 (1)
T1: Picks 2 (3)
T2: Picks 2 (3)
T1: Picks 1 (4)
T2: Picks 2 (5)
T1: Picks 1 (5)

This way the second team gets to see most of the heroes first, but the first team picks last.

i think they had it like this at some point but ppl complained that ppl got both first and last pick. back then though when it was like this, they had super op broken heroes like bloodseeker moving at the speed of light, and other broken heroes. so first picking the broken heroes then having someone waiting to last pick techies, was a pain
first pick these days i agree is more of a disadvantage and your suggestion is pretty good ^^

The game is not meant to be played that way it is just how is and it's no big deal.

If ranked games were played how this game is meant to be played in its fairest way every ranked games would be bo3 in captains mode.

this pick system is good already. u have 2 picks to counter 4 of them and they have 1 pick to counter 5 pretty balanced. i even think its better to have that 2 picks not the last pick cause they will focus on last pick and they will shut him down
