doesnt need a high end GPU cause im only using a 900p monitor :D
specs :
core i5 4690
16gb ram
gtx 1050 ti
1tb WD hdd
samsung 19.5 inch 900p monitor ..
net = 500kpbs only ..
and i can do 240+ fps max settings in dota 2 ...
My Spec:
CPU: i7 8700K
Graphics card: GTX 1060 6G
RAM: 16 GB
Mainboard: ASUS ROG Strix Z370 Gaming
Monitor: DELL 27" 2K (2160 x 1440)
Below is how I troubleshoot my issue:
1. Check the error in Security and Maintenance --> I got "Hardware Error" code 141 --> GPU problem
2. I checked the GPU Usage in Task Manager after game crashed --> GPU Usage 100% then dropdown, or you can use other Softwares(eg. MSI Afterburner) to track the CPU, GPU, RAM, MEM, FPS, and Temperature of CPU, GPU when in-game (check it when you watch a game or play a game with Bot)
3. The root cause is GPU Usage Peak 100%:
- 3.1: I updated GPU driver & Windows OS.
- 3.2: Check in-game configuration(Video session)
- Crashed configuration: Resolution(2560x1440), Rendering (Ultra), Option (DirectX 9), Reder Quality (100%), Max FPS(140)
- After multiple times change the configuration(on FPS) from 140 --> 120 --> 100 --> 80 --> 70
Now FPS 70 is good to me, and the GPU Usage is around 80%, it does not peak to 100%. The rest configuration I keep them, just change on the FPS.
I think your spec is very good for Dota 2. So, do not buy more hardware.
You also use this website to check your spec: https://www.game-debate.com/
Ram issue but actually wasn't the origin of the issue. CPU in your case is probably also just a side effect.
I actually did fix it, sorry for not replying. Either one of my RAM sticks weren't working, or they were in the wrong slot. What I think was that because they were in the wrong slot, there was a bad call made in the system, which led to a null pointer somewhere and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the memory
Wtf man :D
go to sysdm.cpl and advanced. Performance. Advanced. Paging file. set yours on your Windows Solid state drive, and make it at least 12000MB minimum and 16000MB max
-autoconfig can be good to run for you,
Did you have an AMD card in before? is there any onboard GPU's ? Disable it.
Or format your PC if you had an AMD GPU before.
