Download stuck.

I have a download in my download bar thing in steam and it is 0bytes/0bytes and I have tried everything to get rid of it and to actually download it. I have uninstalled dota verified the game chache and deleted the .blob file.

The thing is my dota works well and it says it doesn't need to update when play the game also the download is permanently starting.

If anyone knows a fix or a way to do anything abotu this please help really ♥♥♥♥ing me off.

Update - just had to do a nosgoth update that worked perfectly well so ♥♥♥♥ you dota you piece of ♥♥♥♥.

Fixed - just pause it and then click the big x way too simple but couldn't find this on the internet :)

Have you tried verifying the game cache it usually works for most stuff. If this doesn't work just redownload the game or delete some blob file or something I am not really good at this kind of stuff but I will try to help.

go into libraby and then right click - go into properties and then go into local files and click verify integrity of game cache or something like that. Basically what this does is finds bad files and redowloads them so it can take a while if you have a bad internet connection.

got the same prob, verifying doesnt help at all.
this DOWNLOADING 0 of 1 items complete makes me so nervous.

If Lev's idea doesn't work you can try the one I mentioned earlier also thank you lev for your help a lot of my friends are having this problem too and any help is nice :)

Go onto steam in the top left corner and click settings then on the account tab it says change beta settings and do it form there.

You're welcome. BTW my answer has the validation step in there as well. :D

I dont mean the validation thing just pausing it and then it thinks it is done clicking cancel. That worked for me but again thank for putting another idea forward.

I tried that several times, however it would always come back whenever I restarted Steam. And because this current download was stuck at 0 bytes, it was preventing me from downloading a new update.

I have just restarted steam and it seems my fixx is only temproary will try yours out now.
