So why the chat abuse feature, you ask? Well, what do you think? It's merely there for the community to abuse on others. Valve is a pathetic bunch of kids who like screwing over its highest skilled players, which explains why you can abuse the chat report, make sure a game won't be recorded by leaving after 40 minutes and forcing losses on its highest skilled players with its matchmaking system.
Yes Valve is a bunch of children who made their goal to ruin public matchmaking for high skilled players. Thanks Obama.
So you have millions of reports, 1/3 of which is probably legit and the rest is just a bunch of anal retentive cry baby dota nerds that have to vent because they lost a game.
Maybe, just maybe, if people respect the report system, i.e; only file reports on people who actually fit into one of the three categories, intentional feeding, ability abuse and communication abuse it would potentially be more feesible to manage them better.
That's right, that means not spamming 'report x plz they ruined my life by not buyings blink' or whatever that happens to be grinding their gears.
You see, and it's this exact behavior that makes the system ineffective. You'll sit there and blame Valve for your situation, but in reality it's people in the community like YOU that is the true problem. Instead of putting on your big boy pants and walking away from the situation, you choose to continue the cycle. Use your reports vindictively to hurt someone you don't like.
As far as I'm concerned the only person or group of people that needs to grow a brain is people just like you. The choices and actions of one person can make a difference, it's up to that individual if it's going to be positive or negative.
I mean, how do you think this sort of thing got so far out of hand? How Dota 2 got the reputation as the most toxic community in gaming? Because someone hurt someone else, and instead of turning the other cheek and being a man about it they decided to go hurt someone else to feel better about themselves. It's cointagious. The only cure? Logic and common sense. Unfortunately I think we're too far gone.... which is a shame for all the nice people that have to get generalized with the rest of the swine.
and i m one of them? kidding me, this community is crap because especially alot of small kids play it and untill now i know only 1 game with a good community and this is red orchesta because nearly no little kid plays it.
kids with 0 ability to speak and write in english only bad mouth toxic cheap TV show curse, only time to enjoy this game from 1 a.m -> 5a.m when kids at sleep....
the truth can be yeah i know..... the truth can hurt...
