Out of meta, and not good for beginners.
PS: Like i said b4 viper or u can try razor too.
I mean some heroes are easier to play cause they have less skills, but at the same time they may be harder cause without skills they rely on the player compensating with tactical/strategical knowledge to make the good decisions
here's my list of pro & cons
1. Sniper
- very simple gameplay, only 2 active skills !!!! good for beginners
- very long range good for beginners
- low first few minutes damage : may be hard to last hit, depending on lane
- fragile & has no natural escape or disable which is kind of bad for beginners
- points above make positioning with sniper critical although this may matter less at lower skill ranges
- near instant auto attack easier for last hitting
2. Gyrocopter
- has lots of magical damage
- very short range autoattack
- can have a very good mid game if good farm
- scaling into late game is soso, he can get good items & be efficient but if the opponents carry has the same level of farm, lots of carries can destroy gyro easily
- near instant autoattack easier for last hitting
3. Drow Ranger
- has one of the most powerful slows of the game, which makes killing at low skill level often a breeze
- very popular with inexperienced players, since the slow often makes people retreat, and you can slow them to death often times
- really starts her game at lvl 6.
- can push hard with push heavy picks & other ranged picks
- the action delay between an arrow fired & a player click is kinda long, last hitting needs to be
-use her pushing skill wisely, when you need to counter push any lane, or when you're pushing with your team, do not use in the early laning phase, or it could make you vulnerable to ganks if your lane is too pushed toward enemy tower.
4.Wind Ranger
- very good against physical heroes
- has an escape
- has the potential for some magic damage & lots of physical damage
- has a very good stun which is somewhat situational: e.g. it NEEDS to attach to a tree or hero to be efficient.
- autoattack is not instant but not too slow either imho
So this is it, it's not meant to be comprehensive, just a list of thoughts thrown together. My personnal advice : train against bots a bit, as long as you're aware of their limited AI then it's good to learn the basics of a hero.
also train last hitting a lot, having perfect last hitting makes the difference between a noob carry & a pro carry most often times, of course it depends on your lane & what you're allowed to get away against enemy heroes.
training last hits against bots without trying to take advantage of their limited AI to get kills, is good training too.

Sniper is pretty hard for beginners as you need a lot of items to be effective and is hard to play especially in this meta. As drow you need to know where to stay in fights so not that ez.
Try: Viper, Luna, Windranger
Sniper is amazingly good carry when 6 slotted for me. Have you tried to siege enemy base against 6 slot sniper? ROFL.
Also drum on sniper? Do you know that drum is trash for agi heroes now and aquila is much better/cheaper? Stopped reading there. Also feel like phase boots are better as it allows you to chase enemy or run away faster.
