I am still sad that Techies is gone.
There is no other hero that plans ahead and can take over the enemy jungle if you're clever enough. Why not balance what Techies had instead of making Puck again? There's no hero that let's you plan far ahead anymore, you either go in and attack or react to an attack.

Because in a Techies game the only person having fun was the Techies. Everybody hates fighting against him, and his teammates despise him because it's basically 4v5 in the laning stage. He was almost never picked in pro games either, and his winrate when he was picked in pro matches was bad, like 44% iirc.

The first 2 line of reasoning is I agree with back when they had suicide squad attack, but once they had blast off I thought the hero was in a good place and most games ended pretty early. I'm okay if Techie's suicide was removed and couldn't place remote mines around towers since the best way to play is go ultra aggressive with the hero. Also why did they nerf the hero if they weren't in pro matches? They lost armor and movement speed, Blast off got major damage reductions, and red mines went from doing 750 damage at level 7 to 400 and made half of the radius do half damage.

Went from a hero you have to plan with to a dive in and mess things up hero. And we already have a lot of dive in mess things heroes.
that hero was pain in a.. for enemy and team as well. I would drag game more than it needs but i agree on one thing at least he had creative playstyle or should i say unique now he feels so empty i even think that model fits him.

His rework makes him a much more viable hero than any amount of buffs to his kit could've done. It's not that Techies was weak pre-rework, it's that his play style was inherently unfun for everyone else in the game to deal with, and working together with your team to have optimal bomb placements and positioning went so far beyond a non-Techies match that it's like a completely different game. You either had to suddenly heighten your game sense like an extra 100% in order to effectively utilize your Techies and stomp the game, or you were left playing 4v5. That's just really bad design forcing players, even non-Techies players, to develop that intimate an understanding of the hero just to be able to win with or against him. His low winrate was due to the fact the effort to make that happen is too much for most people, so he loses games where his team won't play along, which is most of them.

The issue as I saw it was that old-fashioned Techies was basically playing a different game than every other hero. Regardless of his balance, that fact that he was SO different made him very hard to integrate well or counter, especially in PUBS. So basically regardless of whether you were with him or against him, he was a hero who made the whole match less fun. Less-fun matches means fewer fans, which means less dollars in the pocket. And the handful of dedicated techies-players didn't counter the entire rest of the DotA community.

Techies can still mine areas, demining is way more difficult now. What I don't know how to use correctly is the disarm skill, that never seem to do that much.

It seems to be mostly an escape or bait skill. Presumably you could use it to initiate as well, but since Techies is so squishy that's basically a suicide-tactic. Maybe use it in conjunction with Blast Off to put the rest of your team in a good position when you're on the offensive?
But you're right, I've never seen a build focused on that ability.

I see what yall're saying but wish it didn't come to removing an entire playstyle. Hopefully they add the set up playstyle back into the game either reworking Techies again or create another set up hero. The best part about the hero was that I get to press a button every 5 second and stealth around the fog of war.

You clearly DON'T see what I'm saying, because what I'm saying is that playstyle wasn't compatible with the rest of the DotA. Even before the wholesale rework, the sheer number of tweeks they had to make to techies (like to stop him from accidentally getting abandons when going without XP for 5 minutes) shows just how un-like any other DotA hero he was.

Enemies cannot break mines when they disarmed. Three mines usually kill anyone.

I know you hate it, but I don't share the same belief that a hero with that playstyle don't work in DOTA.

Techies ruined matches exactly because he played so differently. Dota 2 is about active play and positioning. Techies meanwhile used to be all about being a passive ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and more or less griefing the enemy team (if you played well) or do nothing for your own (if you played poorly). Frankly techies felt like a hero that simply existed so that people who don't want to actively play as a team had a hero they could pick.

Old Techies was more balanced. New techies is much more difficult to play against because disarming bombs is not feasible for most characters.

...what?
Make a custom game with old Techies and play it.
