Ranked vs. Unranked

Hi there, I have a small question that I would like to ask the Dota 2 community:
I play Dota 2 regularly since 2013, never bothered to play ranked though. I mean i did play my 10 solo calibration games and a couple more in ranked but never touched it again until four days ago. In the calibration phase I lost 6 and won 4 games, mostly playing as support (since my team already consited of 4 carries as it often does in low mmr ...). In the end I calibrated around 2k and went down to 1.8k, that was 2015. 95% of my games are Unranked and I played about 3000 Games in total. When i started playing ranked again a few days ago, I found that games where easy to win and climbed from 1.8k to 2.2k in 4 days. So my question basically is, if its normal that my ranked games are easier? Since I heard somehting about a hidden mmr rating in Unraked matches. And oh yes I sometimes stumble upon 4k and 5k players in my Unranked games. What are your opinions?

Unranked and ranked have seperate MMR's. I was the same as you except with only really playing ranked with my ranked MMR at 4k and my unranked around the mid 2k I placed at.

In unranked you team up or against player that usualy have same amount of games played i guess or and avarage of total games for both teams

Unranked has the same mmr system as ranked, it just does not directly show you your MMR.

i am 1k noob and in normal matchmaking i played with a 6k mmr guys

so that means hide mmr and normal mmr is diferent

I have tested this as well. It would seem the Normal games are usually filled with better skilled players making them a bit harder than Ranked games.

Normal mode uses a hidden MMR to match you up with your enemies. But either way I found the normal mode games a lot more complicated than ranked games.

unranked is based on your play stats and hidden mmr and ranked is based on your mmr that you can show and see
