i kinda liked the role chosen during que. it's way better then all the drama of fighting for mid, safe with no support ingame.
i can still remember all the drama of me first, i click on map first, i say it on chat first... then flame, blame and toxic gameplay.. and of course the infamous "mid or throw" nickname pop up like mushroom after rains.
if you want a solution, read a book, watch some tv while que for a game. one of the reason i play only rank is also because i get to choose role first and avoid all the drama fighting for the role you want ingame.
let's leave the dramas to those who love them to unranked.
Ranked Roles is a behavioral correction measure for lower ranked solo queue, means for a skill bracket and queue mode where slightest discussions in the picking phase lead to game throwing and players are muted after 5min into the game anyway. Higher ranks and parties/full stack don't need it. It took away a first advantage from dedicated, positive solo teams and minimized the disadvantage for solo teams with bad team attitudes and communication skills. It just moved an entire team building aspect from in-game to pre-game phase. Now the already solo minded teams even talk less with each other. People who didn't learn any team building before will never do it now because it isn't affecting their game anymore. That's why I don't appreciate Ranked Roles. The queue times don't matter to me, but it is an inherent aspect.
