percentage below my rank medal

i got percentage below my rank medals and it keeps changing.
what`s the use of it?
is that percentage connects with ranking up my medal?

its your progress for leveling up a rank, it doesnt have to be 99 to rankup, you get different percentage every game

I just have no idea what the algorithm does anymore, not even trusting that percentage because I was at legend I 2 weeks ago with 34%, then I won a solo MMR game and suddenly I went to legend IV. So I'm clueless.

probably because you calibrated your party MMR first, winning the solo ranked game, thus ranking up significantly

maybe this post is a bit old, but, i think that percentage represents where you at in the current league.. if you are 29% then maybe you are in the top 29% of that rank.. then if you lose, you'll degrade some points and move down, hence your percentage is larger..

Edit :
if some of you jump some rank just by 1 or 2 ranked matches, i think it depends on skill you played at those matches.. you can see it at dotabuff , it is written there, are you playing in normal skill or high, or very high.. i think it plays some role to determine your rank..
P.S : i am not dotabuff insider, just a plain player who monitor own gaming

same i lost a ranked party game, from 40%-55% note that my party mmr is just 2.6k and my solo is 3.1k, medals doesnt make sense sometimes..
