It's time for a Japanese dub for this game.
i know Dota 2 supports Russian, Korean and Chinese dub, and maybe why not add Japanese as well? Japanese has been well known for their authentic VAs, you can actually see their work in animes, and imho Japanese VAs are in par with Disney's they are really really good expressing their voice into characters.

Dota as we know it, is really unique, heroes have their own personalities. for example like Doom my favorite, he's so cruel, demonic, and prideful, i would agree that no one can match the voiceline "I Mark Your SOUL !" of Doom when he killed an enemy but still, i would like to hear something fresh, again for example if we take a look at Dio from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure anime, Dio's voice is really iconic, even spawns a lot of memes surrounding his voice and when he gets serious, its really damn chilling, just like Doom.

it's just an idea to make the game more fresh at least, while i can use a Japanese dub on the N**flix's Dota anime, but it would be good to hear it in-game aswell. What do you guys think?

and also be cool guys, it's just an idea not a full blown proposal to Valve.

Valve doesn't want to... They do have enough ability to voice Japanese players, but this will make them throw less money than income, because there are very few Japanese players, compared to people in other regions.

ahh you're right damnit, didn't think of that. Japanese Dota dead years ago, i see why they're not interested.

But hey! at least they keep releasing a Japanese-styled/inspired Hero, maybe just maybee we still have a chance? :steamsad:

true, i hope Valve treat this as a 'fan service' , i mean a lot of players gonna like this addition, doesn't harm anything. or they could release it as a DLC pack, i would buy it,

Japanese player base isn't really competitive, Riot already tried to influence Japan so much but they aren't succeeded. They even added Japanese voice actors and actresses specially for Arcane in Japan but their server still seems to remain dead.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
