Someone added me and asked me to join a Dota 2 tournament!

2 profiles with the same description, and also the same gifs, they are pretty similar, they just added me and ask me to join a dota 2 tournament. its pretty weird 2 ppl from different parts of the world and with pretty same profiles, asked me the same thing, I think this is a scam because they send me a link to enter with steam, its weird, if its not someone can tell something, ty.

dunno what you want people to do for you since there isnt any info though as a general rule of thumb dont open links that appear to be steam links esp ones from rando people.

this isnt me trying to be rude cuz quite frankly i dont know anything about your skill level but i doubt you are good enough for some rando to suddenly scout you for professional dota tournament... usually there is some kind of "interview" matches you have to play or its a group of friends that all make a team together

In case you don't know posting third sites goes aganist the rules, he did good to not post them..


Anyway OP unless isn't someone that you played togheter just decline friend request from people that you don't know in future..

Yeah its a Scam got like 5 or so of them in the past weeks. Really annoying Reported each one of them and not a single one got banned.

Yeah, I wish there was a way to set Steam to block all friend requests. I only keep real-life friends on my friendlist anyway, and the overwhelming majority of them I receive are from scammers anyway.
