Just because you are not able to get out of Herald after 8 years it doesn't mean that the matchmaking is bad but it means that you in 8 years have learned nothing..
Also stop complain about smurf since you too have more then one account..
Thing is tho it is a lot easier to expose cheaters here since you can just watch replay from player perspective. One little mistake can reveal a cheater, like casting target spells off camera, casting target spells without moving mouse etc. Blinking (without double tap) without moving mouse is also a big cheater sign.
But of course like any other game out there there do probably exist actual cheaters. But its so astronomically low chance youll see one imo. And they are dealt with with bans.
People do have an issue with scripts, but scripts are from what we know officially only bannable in pro games, and not really in pubs. People usually call scripts cheats but its not the same thing.
There are smurfs like there are in CSGO and in any other competitive online PVP game. And there are matchmaking issues like there are in CSGO and...again, in any other competitive online PVP game. Cheaters do also exist in Dota 2, but it's not quite the same as CSGO.
There are scripts like auto/instant-cast which some players use to cheat, but it's not the same thing as an aimbot in CSGO. Players who use auto-cast scripts can be countered in numerous legitimate ways in-game, and while their auto-casting can work great for 1v1s, Dota 2 is a 5v5 game. So when an auto-cast cheater burns through all their spells/items, that leaves them very open to being insta-killed themselves. And as long as they have their insta-casts on, it's often easy to bait such players. It's harder when you have a player who is skilled AND cheating but often the players who are cheating are not that skilled. Again, like any other similar game.
The majority of spells/abilities and items in the game are unit targeted, so you don't have to worry about aiming. Even most non-targeted directional or AOE abilities are typically extremely hard to miss with, as long as you understand how it works.
There are some scripts that function like a soft maphack, but it's not the same thing as ESP/wallhacks in CSGO. It doesn't give you constant vision of an enemy player. And you're more likely to encounter players trolling than players cheating.
That said, I would take Zocko here telling you about how awful the game is with a grain of salt, especially since he has been a Herald (lowest rank in the game) going on 10,000 hours or more played, he insists that it's because of a conspiracy by Valve to hold him back, and absolutely refuses to acknowledge his own shortcomings or to take any constructive advice when countless people have tried to help him.
