I have no clue what the point of the anime is.

Is it suppose to expand on the story and lore of Dota or make its own world that has no meaning or point? Unless Dota is the afterlife, the anime makes no sense.

Forgo the fact that we have gods and dragons being extinguished left and right like candle lights. They are killing off main Dota heroes and that makes no sense what so ever. Not to mention the characters dont fit at all with their Dota Variants.

I feel it was not only a wasted opportunity but a disgraceful representation of our Dota Heroes/Lore. Though, that is just my take on it. Do you think this anime has a purpose other then money grabbing shenanigans?

It‘s just a modern times thing to do cross overs between the different entertainment industries. At the end the companies compete just for a bigger piece of the cake and get a higher coverage for their products, may it enhance the count or the achievable price.

It doesn't matter if you like it or not, it IS Dota canon.
Artifact and Underlord provide the information for the lore and they are THE canon of the world.

Will not happen, most don't give a damn about the unending battle because it makes a completely uninteresting story.
It is also already full explained, the Dire and Radiant brainwash and summon heroes from all over the multiverse and timelines and planes of existence to fight the battle and when one is destroyed they loop back and choose new heroes for their battles.
There is nothing else to tell here, if you try to do something else with it you would have to mess with DOTA 2 concept.

just the fact that this is triggering you means the anime a freaking success because its making your head spin and your asking a ton of questions. Thats the sign of a great story lol. Personally i love the anime. As soon as i heard league of legends anime was on a different level. I went to watch it turned off the first 5 minutes . Now that anime is to highly praised. I found it extremely boring compared to the intense dota anime . Really lol has no comparison and isn't even in the same league as dota interesting lore. Gaben for the win

The Hollywood writer for the story is making his own story basically,
he had his own reddit ask me moment and he didn't even play the game. He has no idea of their in-game personalities he just makes their own. Hence why Davion is completely different from the In-game model and yeah, personality completely weird. The personalities do not match this hardboiled universe that dota 2 presents itself as inside the game. (besides pudge).

except he also works with people like Slacks but hey, if you want to cherry pick sure playing the game will totally give you lore perspective as shown by all the lore masters in the forums that don't even understand what the dota lore is.

that explains a lot. the anime doesnt feel remotely related to the game. other then character names. I dont even know what people like about the anime. It was dull as all hell. Especially the characters, they were all so boring and uninteresting. The only one I enjoyed was Marci, strong females are my weakness. Yea, I could have done without the anime. I dont even think it is good advertisement for the game. Arcane wins hands down if we compare the 2.
