Diffrence between Pos $ & Pos 5
Hello. Sorry for my poor english but i just want to know what diffrences btw pos 4 & 5

i'm 2k player yeah i'm still noob, i know.
Anyway i like to play pos 4 and 5 but in games it feels like pos 4 and 5 there is nothing diffrent.

i learned
pos 5: support offlaner. roaming. warding and dewarding. dont steal the XP from offlaner. jungle staking? also counter enemy safe lane supporter

pos 4: support safelaner. stacking and control the waves. also warding and dewarding. bully the enemy offlaner and supporter.

I know its not that simple but i always trying to keep these roles and also its okay to when sup players dont mind pos 4 and 5. It depends on situation i think (or this is why i 2k player maybe)

Is there anything else i have to know about pos 4 and 5
and are my rules that i know is fine?

need some help about understading support roles.

Help me.

Thank you :evolve:

Pos5 - hard support that is in easy lane with carry.
Pos4 - roaming support that is in hard lane with offlaner.

Number of position is a farm priority. That means that if two players want to farm something generally pos with lower number have priority.

Functions of pos4 and 5 are actually very different and tied with functions of position 3 and 1 .

Pos 5 begins as dedicated carry bebysitter and it's starting functions are focused on providing carry with ability to free farm untill he is ready to leave lane. That include fighting for pulls, trading resources efficiently, if possible providing healing to carry. That means pos5 must be good at trading, possibly have some ability for sustain, abilities helping control pulls. The second quality of pos5 is that due to lowest farm priority it skills should scale with items that OTHER teammates get. For example stun scales more the more damage your teammates have. After end of lane phase pos 5 must find most active agressive player on the map and stick to him as glue. It's either pos2 or more often pos 3. If no one fights then providing defensive vision stacking and protecting is your objective. Ogre with stun, buff and great HP Regen and armor is a good example of pos 5. Lion is a bad example of pos 5 because while having stun he is very weak at trading and cannot secure lane for his carry.

Pos4 is not a dedicated babysitter. While it's usually nessesity to be for a certain time with your offlaner and fight with enemy pos5 to prevent him pulling and controlling the lane, the general objective of pos4 during Laning is winning any lane that can't do it on their own.

If safe tp mid needed it's always duty of pos4 to do it, not anyone else. If enemy dive bot tower it's pos4 who must tp there and punish them. If mid want gank it's pos 4 who must either set it up or secure it.

That define qualities of pos4 (and as consequence pos3). Pos 4 must have ability to kill, setup ganks, secure kills, mobility is a good trait here. As it gets more gold for kills and farm more than pos5 it may have certain scaling in skills. Bounty hunter that scales his jinada from gold, great armor, lots of damage, tp interrupt and tracks to get most of kills is an example of good pos 4.

As Laning stage coming to end pos4 change it's objective from ganking lanes to setup ganks in enemy jungle (that include agressive warding, so yes pos5 is not just solo ward full map) and help in pushing with pos5 and most active agressive player on map - either pos3 or 2. At this point the difference with pos4 and 5 is that pos 5 spend more gold on expendables and differences caused by initial pick of heroes.
