What are the role regarding Modskin usage??

10000000000% Yes using MOD skins in Dota 2 will grant you ultimate ban. Just buy skins from steam market or Dota 2 store.

No don't listen to Bully Maguire he's on trolling you I'm using mods since 2017 till now. I did bought items here and there but I'm not a rich whale, and last and the most important part, mods don't disrupt the market economy of steam or DotA 2 market since they are only seen by it's users.

Dota 2 mods don't grant you any type of ban not a shadow ban, no black list, no vac ban either and if you are concerned about VAC it even warns you sometime when you install latest Nvidia driver such as Nvidia experience which sometimes help optimizing game which VAC mistakes for a 3rd party software but it only warns you it doesn't give you ban and especially the mods never ever give you bans it's just a hoax, unless you mod your CSGO. Then count me out.

I use DotA 2 mods software for modding, there's also a better mod on VK developed someone else I forgot it's name but it's not worth it since it also charges you money for modding. Dota 2 mods is free, and when using mods remember that sometimes when an event starts dota 2 won't launch giving you an error, it's common and can be solved quickly just launch dota 2 mods software and click on Gear/Clogs/Nuts icon and click on repair mods and wait for it finish then click on build mods again and voila~ you are done.

Also sometimes arcana's or sets may glitch so better option is to go inside the hero "Parts" tab and choose the alternate arcana options which work correctly. For being free it comes with minor problem like this other than that it's hassle free than customly modding on your own.
