People should use their brains. Itemize what you need. Analyse the game, analyze your teammates and picks. Whats your teams strength according to the picks? whats your teams weakness?
Most people are just too ♥♥♥♥♥ to try out an uncommon item on a hero. Thats how you actually learn to understand Dota. By Trial and error. Items are your Tools. It'd be retarded to limit yourself to a certain set of tools. It's like playing with a handicap. Imagine i'm a plumber and I'm limiting myself to a hammer and a Screwdiver despite facing different problems everytime I'm out. Yeah im gonna be a good plumber with that i guess lol.
Sometimes its just better to do a Lane-reset pull, by Timing the pull of the easy camp in a way that only 2 Lane creeps agro the Easy camp neutrals, while the other creeps keep walking towards the enemy creeps.
OP should seriously make an anti-guide for us. All examples he gave were on point--I'd like more.
My support pulled the lanes so much I waas trying to get lh's between T1 and T2. Nothing I could say would make him stop because he saw it on a "video".
Another good one is when a hero lanes somewhere that Dota plus doesn't suggest, and noobs start melting down.
Unless you are pretty decent with lasthitting&farming in general, don't go for radiance. Especially not if you can't get it after the first 20 minutes. If you have a hard lane in a low mmr bracket as an inexperienced player, means you'll have horrible farm but the guide still tells you to get that 5.1k Item that is meant as a farm accelerant and Teamfight item. Yea gl winning the game when you are basically useless until 30 Minutes into the game when you finally got your delayed Farming item. Which will not contribute in anyway then in teamfights because the enemy carries already have bkb.
And how does not going for farming items will help him with farming?
Cheaper Midgame Items usually have the advantage of beeing more cost effective compared to Bigger items (they do more for their Gold price than Bigger items, diffusal,Mageslayer, armlet etc). If you are Low on farm Its better to get cheaper items, that allow you to participate in fights earlier(and have an actual impact) and get back the gold you lost, like an Armlet for example. Why? because if you keep farming till 30 minutes the rest of your team will eventually die to teamfights(remember im talking about low bracket). They'll start flaming you for not participating while feeding the enemy team, which is also a factor how well a game goes(in the lower bracket toxicity more often than not leads to lost games). And If you participate in fights as WK who goes for Radiance you'll face 2 issues: You'll carry alot of Unreliable gold around that you can loose if you die, and you have basically no other item than maybe your phaseboots to increase your killthreat, thus, if you had a bad lane rendering you almost useless regarding DPS in teamfights.
And how does not going for farming items will help him with farming?
He still has his skeletons. Ofc he doesnt get as quickly charges as with radiance, but he can still farm alot with them.
I dont think playing fast is a solution for a low level players. They have to learn how to farm anyways. And farming creeps is something you should learn before learning how to move around the map and when to take a fight.
Because if you don't learn, in a balanced way, then you will not have complete understanding.
By focusing on one thing, like farming, it will have a drastic impact on what you are doing. Think about the current meta; farm all game, no fight.
Why would I ever exploit AM's blink at lvl 7? I might fail at the team fight, so I will just farm, instead of learning how to fight; by playing my hero properly, with the tools they have.
Also there is no such thing as learning in a balanced way.We are talking about humans here, not robots.
