Is DK X Mirana canon or its just a thing in the anime

Well story in game cintradict story in anime but dota hold a very convoluted timeline and artifact contradict main game, so its hard to say what is canon anc what is not.

Lets just have separate cannons for separate ganres.

It's something tacked on to their origins that was never hinted at in game,or comics, or items or anything. I imagine maybe next update they'll have lines to solidify it as official. But it still seems like a odd coupling to me. Lina seems more fitting personally imo, being a dragon tamer and all.
