Region Lock

Hello,

Hope you are doing well. I am a big fan of DOTA2 game. I love it. But, I am tired of playing with people who are uncooperative, who don't know how to play their hero, and who just ruin the game. Is it possible for Valve to implement a paid service of region block? I am tired of playing with people from certain regions of the world who just ruin the gaming experience on the NA servers. It will be fantastic to have a paid Region Block option so that I can play with people from the NA only. I am just so tired. I feel helpless. I just want to play a normal game. Why do I and many other players on the NA server(s) have to suffer because of the actions of certain people from the certain parts of the world?

Region lock is awful and there will never be..

If you have problems with playing solo then create your own party and play togheter..

Today there are alot of ways for find people who wants to play..
Chat of your country,Discords,Guilds, Steam groups etc..

Even on Twitch you can find who wants to play, you have enough ways so don't be lazy..

Doesn't matter if you wanna pay, this is a game and everyone is free to play in whatever server prefere..

Again, consider the idea of party if you don't wanna meet random people..

No, Valve is not afraid of it, it's just an awful idea, that already got pointed out in past and rejected..

It's an "awful idea" because Valve told him to say so.

And yes Valve is definitely affraid of this kind of measure because:

1. Very few people would pay for a feature that is supposed to be part of the basic systems of any online multiplayer game, and would result in an outrage.

2. Because Valve need to let the game wide open, and it's not only with territories and languages, but with smurfs, cheaters, ruiners as well. They need all of them otherwise the game would get unpluged even faster.

And they need you as a legit player to feed the playground of all those "players" who are quite happy to have people like Dante Ambrose on forums doing his best to make sure players like you would remain as naive as necessary.

Don't try to get any form of argumentation from these guys, all you'll get is manipulation and lies.

dont you know there is regional chat that you can recruit ppl before you jump into the matchmaking?

You want to pay? Create a guild anc pay people for playinv party with you if no one in dota wants to play with you otherwise.

Those aren't regional problems. Those are player problems. You're playing in sub-1k mmr yourself so you're obviously going to encounter players that don't have the best grasp on the mechanics and fundamentals of the game. You can't expect to have teammates like Dendi and Miracle in that bracket but if you feel that matchmaking is unfair, then you can create or join your party, and invite players like yourself that you feel are playing at your level.

Cry more and Valve will make it a Dota+ service at some point, of course in doubling the monthly fee for Dota+.
