Dota 2
How do I make Dota 2 run above the 240fps cap?
I'm getting input lag in game even with 240fps constant and really low ping no packet loss, I've turned down all settings to low (even though I can run it at max) just to see if it helps, what are best settings for lowest input lag? I'm using exclusive fullscreen and dx11, weird issue that only exists in Dota 2 for me, there's a delay between me clicking and doing something and it happening in game.

go to properties, on advanced write +fps_max <number fps> with your computer, 300 limit is good enough, give it a try

That increases input lag

I think there is a launch option for the fps. I don't know which one try to google dota 2 launch options.
A server tick is 1/33 of a second. What does a framerate more than 7 times that help with? Do you get info 1/240 a sec faster? Or is it just for visual effects

i'm curious what you're trying to achieve. i mean why would anyone care about a moba being past 80 fps, like is there any point to that?

I'm wondering the same thing. It's like giving a baby a Lamborghini.

Because I have a 280hz screen and I get input lag because the refresh rate isn't matching my fps... What is hard to understand here?

then add a custom display setting with 240hz, have you even changed the default 60hz to 280hz?

Yes it is at 240hz, but I am still getting input lag I wasn't getting this 2-3 years ago.
