when you herald and you get free mmr but you bad then you would loose the mmr to the better players . it wouldnt make guardians the new heralds. it would just give fresh mmr to lower ranks so better players can rank up.
that the main purpose of mmr. to judge you how good you are and give you equal enemies.
From what i read now in the classic elo system all new players start with 350 points. So the system is flawed. It is the easiest to get points or to keep points in the 350 range, becouse there a new players which provide new mmr. it also favors the old strong players in higher mmr, which bassically playing in their bubble trading points each others. And it disadvantaged low points players which lacksof a new point resource. they only get the naked bones of points new players bring in when they derank.
of course you can climb up in system but only if you a really strong player.
and if you can't rank up, that mean you deserve that rank and don't blame other for your lose
I can't tell you how many games I get where I have hard carry teammates who never show up to team fights, try to 1v5 the entire enemy team regularly, senselessly dive and die because of it, and so many other things that I have no control over. It also doesn't help that a large portion of these people who shouldn't even be playing ranked don't communicate at all, as I try voice/text/chat wheel to interact with them and they do not react to anything I say.
On top of that, I am playing my part, mainly by providing good warding/dewarding, using my abilities intelligently, positioning myself in a way that allows for a solid engagement to occur, and sacrificing myself to save the hard carry (in the event that they will die if I don't) so that they don't get behind in gold. It's not like I'm feeding the enemy hard carry in the laning phase and they snowball late game or anything of that sort, as I would say I perform above the rank of herald (mid-high guardian).
My dilemma is one that is widely known, and that is that support mains are screwed from the start. Everybody and their mother wants to be a carry, no matter how good or bad they are at the game, and there's nothing you can do to stop 2 people from instantly locking in as hard carries and dragging the game down.
