You can play through Virtual Desktop or the built-in Occulus desktop streaming, although I haven't tried the latter yet. I'm not sure about direct support for Steam VR. You will definitely still need to play at your PC though but you can stream your desktop into the virtual space. It's novel but doesn't really provide any advantage imo.
If you tried to play Dota 2 strictly in Quest 2 using the controllers and/or virtual keyboard then you would get absolutely destroyed. It might be a laugh for you but probably not for your teammates.
