War 3 was a legendary game for its times, dota 2 was nice at the beginning. All three are garbage right now. Dota 2 is too anime-like, LOL is even more of a children's game and HOTS is too easy after any other.
I played a little DotA but I wouldn't refer to myself as a "veteran." Personally, I enjoyed Starcraft Pokemon much more.
even if people are successfull in dota allstars, doesnt mean d2 is the same.
much different algorythm and meta.
you are only singing the same song all the time "you guys are bad, its not the system its you, you fail you bad" making people try hard in dota ;)
trust me, they can have great success in similar games.
You were just posting in another thread today where a 300 mmr player is claiming to be a DotA 1/Allstars "veteran" as a reason why he shouldn't be a 300 mmr player. If he's a 300 mmr player in Dota 2 then there's no way that he was much better in DotA 1 or that he played it at all. I don't expect every person who has ever played DotA 1/Allstars to be an immortal or pro tier player but if they're going to call themselves a "veteran" then they should have enough experience and skill to climb out of Herald after thousands of hours.
please download one of the classic dota allstar maps. you will get stomped first 1k hours until you even see all the differences.
I know professional, as high ranked players that could not adapt to DotA 2 or did not like the Meta.
So you're arguing that DotA required more skill than Dota 2, but at the same time you're defending Dota 2 players who claim to be DotA 1 veterans "stuck" in low Herald.
At this point, the original DotA playerbase largely consists of hardcore players and given the fact that there's no official mmr-based matchmaking in DotA then obviously new players would have a bad time trying to play DotA now.
You claim that you know many "professional, high ranked players" from DotA couldn't adjust to Dota 2. Name one of those "professional, high ranked" original DotA players who also claim that they're unfairly stuck in sub-500 mmr in Dota 2. Because I haven't seen professional DotA 1/Allstars players claiming that. In fact, many of them transitioned from being professional DotA players to being professional Dota 2 players.
