Why is Lotus orb so underrated in low mmr?

I almost never see a lotus orb, except when I build it myself. That ♥♥♥♥ is dope as ♥♥♥♥. Fixes your heroes mana and health regen issues, provides +250 mana, 10 armor, the abilitiy to cast any targeted spells back to the target, a dispel that you can cast on yourself or use on an ally to save him.

Are you assuming low mmr rats know lotus orb even exists? Desolator is the only item, because its pretty red color and make cute noise

It costs nearly 4000 and doesn't build from an intermediate item. There are typically more important items and consumables for supports to prioritize. Lotus orb is usually an item you could buy if the game is going really well, but if it's going that well you probably won't need it. It's not an item that you typically buy every game. It's situational. It also benefits most from coordinated teamplay, which isn't as prevalent in solo pubs.

Not really true. Since you can disassemble mana boots to help building lotus. Also, Lotus is a great choice for supports since it provides everything they need, mana, armor and regen. It is almost always beneficial on pos 5, 4 or 3 because it helps survive dots, silences and stuns. It is a good item for solo pubs since it can be as useful for you as it is for your teammates.

It is situationnal only if you play with a team which has 0 stuns or silence.

shovel is free estate. would love to have it every game. sadly im getting bored with the game. so i only play arcade now. i feel like lots of things missing about it already.

Its really good on support if you're team is behind.if you get lucky with the runes u can get a lot of extra gold for team mates to hit their important items.

Its build from most gold inefficient mana regen option, most gold inefficient hp regen option and most inefficient armor option. Thats why support that have very limited income prefer more efficient items.

Its active DOES NOT dispell stuns, and with dispelling most other stuff other items are better, and also give for example more useful speed evade and invulnerability. Thats s situational or luxury item that relies on stupidity of your opponents to be truly effective. Supports cant afford that.
