Soul ring still much better than bracer

Comparison:
HP granted: 100 from bracer and 120(!) from soul ring
HP regen: 1.25 hp regen vs 0.6 hp regen (only +39 hp mer minute for bracer)
Armor: 0.33 vs 2 armor
Atk dmg: 8 vs 6 dmg
+24 mana and 0.1 mana reg for bracer

Conclusion:
You get more hp, more armor and just tiny little less hp regen and tiny less damage.
The hp regen is worse since Soul ring gives more armor and reduce damage taken.

And the most important: Spam spells. Str heroes naturally have good HP regen and it fits them perfect to translate that HP regen and spam spells. You easily increase GPM with 150 gpm on a hero with AOE ability that can quickly farm lane creeps.

No. As you see, it is even worth for heroes who don't really need it to spam AOE spells.

I don't see much sense to overpay for +1.7 armor and 20 hp and lose a good portion of hp regen.

Soul ring increase your GPM with around 100 because you can farm without having to go to the base. So that extra +230 gold is nothing.

Don't think you realize how many times you could have killed or saved someone that turned the whole battle if you had mana. With soul ring that is not an issue, even if you are not Underlord. 99% of heroes uses mana. And often STR heroes walk without mana and are quite useless.

Don't think you know how armor works. That 0.6 hp you think is good is nullified by the +1.7 armor increase. Especially early on where your armor already is low. So on some heroes it is literally 100% increase of armor. Do you realize how strong that is?

It was really good past patch when it gave 3% magic resistance. Now it is not worth it.

It was really bad. It completely removed most magical harass heroes from the game in few minutes
