So.. whats the point of relics again?.

By leveling your hero you gain shards and wheel chats, but relics dont give you anything right? whats the point?

Stats tracked on the relic will also display from time to time in the match.

Display from time to time? I don't think I've seen this. Do you have a screenshot? I never really bothered to look at individual player's relics. Or maybe I just don't pay that much attention to it?

Just tried watching a game and the only place I saw this was when I inspected the individual hero's "hats".

Yes they are displayed everytime you cross a limit of score. For example with pangolier i crossed today the 150 killed after stun hero and a little green thing appeared on top of my hero in the middle of the match and everybody saw it

Yes they display. People on my team can see the amount of wards I have bought when I buy them. I can also sometimes see other peoples stats when they are doing the correct action. It is not very noticable, probably not to intrude to much on the game. It is gone in a sec.

Relics are like the gems you could equip your cosmetics with to record some stats. They just named it different. People bought and payed for gems and the tools to equip and remove them before. Why not offer them in a subscription?

Exactly! These wannabe pro people acting like gameplay is the only thing that matters. It is always these ungrateful people that drag down every bonus, additional content a company tries to make for the game we love. I had shedloads of Inscribed Gems, I still do have a HUD with 5 of them, now it is free, even without Dota Plus, you can buy them and they will work. The only drawback, they don't count stats before buying them, so if you are an old Dota 2 player like me, it is a bit sad that stat is lost. I mean, it is Valve, one of the best things about Valve games is that they always keep stats, so I am kinda sure those before Relics stats aren't lost at all, they just need to add them, so people who didn't consider buying Relics, would buy them without feeling "what is the point? My past stats are lost forever!".

P.S. And yes, I know it is necro, but who cares?

No one pointed out that relics do give xp?

So if you buy relics yes, your hero Dota+ level will level up faster. Every time your relic reaches a new milestone you get bonus xp.
