If i was not mistaken Henry also admitted that he get a little bit rusty after a long vacation then this video he uploaded appear. Maybe he started getting less interest in Dota?
But if we look at his view in that video it seems that all of the blame is put on valve. Which is i kindly agree on less marketing done on valve and no daily log in but yeah. Still have lots to improve i say
No one answers you because you don't know that report can be issued in pubs, you repeated this mistake twice already. You keep giving bad advice like you never played dota, like luna pos 5, or wk pos 4/5. You said ench purge was able to target allies... You are wrong about so many things... And the worse thing is that you think you won these "debates". You didn't. You didn't win a single of them. Your only argument against me is that I am an account buyer. So clever. A single look at my steam account, my match history would prove any sane player that it is not the case. If dota is in a bad shape, it is because of ruiners like you. Most people don't care about henry or streamers like him. People who think dota 2 is mid or meepo, rizpol, Jenkins, or dota wtf are all wrong.
The huge majority of people who complain about report system here are griefers, toxic players, boosted accounts or people who used to fix matches.
Regarding the mass discussion of a volunteer system, I've brought this up in a few personal circles and got some interested feedback I'd like to throw out here;
- Make the system better than League's tribunal and CS:GO's Overwatch system.
- Make the job feel as such with some sort of overseer or supervisor system by actual paid employees to manage the volunteers
- Have some sort of qualification test and/or interview by said qualified employees to help make sure people with both the right intentions and understanding of the code of conduct for the game are participating in these report reviews.
- Like in many other report review systems like this, use the account involved, the multiple games filed with various reports that hit a certain threshold and have them gone over by a handful of volunteer reviewers.
- Allow these volunteers to rank the account on a scale of how guilty they are of breaking conduct, if high enough volume that it deems punishable by offense, have it sent to a supervisor for full conduct on the account and a final review before punishment.
- Encourage participation and accuracy on reports, there are plenty of ways to incentivise this.
- Volunteers found abusing this privilege should be warned of possible punishment; loss of such privilege or severe enough abuse, punishment towards their account to what seems fitting.
As said before though, a big issue with this is naturally the system required to be able to provide any of this or resources, the available labor to even viably have this done, and of course the financial needs of resources to even attempt any of it.
Nonetheless, it's beneficial to have things like this to discuss. It can help open up avenues and find ways to go about covering potential potholes in making a road to such progress.
As has been pointed out REPEATEDLY, Henry is a troll who openly bragged about buying high mmr accounts, paying to have his accounts boosted, trolling, griefing and "ruining thousands of games", his own words.
Clearly shows you have no idea how to play the game and why you are muted and for good reasons. playing WK and luna as pos5 LOL
1) You have 55% winrate on luna support, or something like that, which shows it doesn't do any better than most supports played in good hands. Once again, it might work against low mmr players but not against ancients and higher.
2) Cm has big aoe slow, a root, global mana regen and big aoe nuke with slow with her ult, good luck finding anyone who prefers pos5 wk to pos 5 cm. Compared all this to a longer cool down stun and a life steal which work only for half on range heroes.
3) Data are found one dota buff and open dota for players who complain about abuse in the report system whereas they are the people the system intends to ban given they performed one or several offenses.
Even when there are no offenses but players complain about bad teammate a single look at their profile, their best hero, their winrate their item build can tell us wether they are bad players or no.
4) You accused me and brought this up several times. I only defend myself because you are not being honest.
5) You are claiming banned users will Smurf. But it means report system protect people for at least 100 hours since they won't play in ranked before 100 hours. I think it is reasonable, especially since they won't be able to dodge the punishment with all their valuable cosmetics.
6) I care and people should care only when complaints are valid. Feelings are often ungrounded. You can only half trust people who don't understand the game for valuable feedback. A low skill player could say Meepo or ES is garbage because he doesn't know how to use them. But devs shouldn't take this into account and change meepo and es because they don't need to be powerful. A game can't be designed around the worst players, other wise it would be even worse in terms of balance.
And here I go, ill stop derailing because you are not worth it anyway.
Thank you for pointing that out. I see that u just have hours on Dota as well. The problem why people say it's dying is because the OG players are leaving and less players are coming in. Thanks for playing dota though. The decrease in players are just a bit higher than new players coming in. For now, it is still fine. But, in the long run for like in another 5-10 years. Dota will die just like HoN and Smite. Not talked much in the online media. Those games do have their own active community untill now but not talked about outside their community. Dota is just being talked only about the TI prizepool. Unlike LoL which updates and the amount of tournaments which made the game interesting. I played Dota for a span of 7 years and now I am feeling that the time I invested in Dota is not worth it if I continue it much longer. But quitting it will also feel like I lost something that made my life happier if I hadnt met Dota. It's like a drug to me now. Can't stop but knowing it's bad if it remains.
