DX9 vs DX11 vs Vulkan vs OGL
Which is better? Which has best performance?
What do the developers say?
Ty

I did not found any information on this elastic band calculation you are writing about but well I tested Dota2 Vulkan on Windows 10 with GTX 1080 TI OC and it also works very well.

why would you use vulkan on a direct x 12 gpu.when there is dx11 support.vulkan is an amd offspring.

If I could I would erase every tiny little piece from directx out of the computer history.

I need to laugh about Microsofts comments where they say: "uhh we are so open source you see we bought github"

If they would give a ♥♥♥♥ to open source they would release bsd licensed directx on github!

Oh wait a moment. That would be the day when they are dead.

Well lets wait some days and it will happen anyway.

Damn you need only to read the first Microsoft comments on PNG, SVG and WebGL. "We will never support this format because it is evil" (and wait -> open) what did they really do?

Vulkan is less overhead on your hardware than DX trash. DX11 is TRASH . When dota is DX12 at least, is when I will say cool, I'd love to play it on directx, but it's not... SO FFFFF DX11 - 9 is the best way to play dota, even if you have a dx12 GPU :) FU idiot 6C1

DX11 doesn't look that bad:

More energy efficient. Maybe a little bit smoother?
My favourite is still Vulkan.

DX11 is trash.
I finally got my vulkan to work properly tonight and you can SEE the difference in the latency of everything in the game, it's phenomenal.

I installed the Vulkan SDK to match the Runtime version and Dota didn't give me the fail to intialize vulkan - check GPU error :)

I want to see PUBG use vulkan next

GOnna try Underhollow now

is Vulkan much better to use for AMD pc's?

I am currently using DX9 and dota2 takes time to load.

NVidias Vulkan implementation is done very well. After all shaders are in cache it is the smoothest experience I can get in Dota2 on my GTX1080 Ti.

Vulkan is better for everyone. DX is scum
Vulkan loads in 10s what dx9 takes 30 seconds to load
and the latency feels super sexy

I will give it a try tomorrow. Hopefully it will load faster.

My old dual core pc that uses intels built in graphics loads faster than my dx9 amd pc.

Just keep in mind, It doesn't mean that Vulkan would help you as well.
Your hardware must support that API by the GPU driver and if you are running Windows with Intei bulit in GPU then your CPU must be based at least on the Skylate architecture (The 6th gen) to get the full support of Vulkan's features.
If you want, There are cheap GPUs like the GT 1030 from NVIDIA and the RX 550 from AMD that support Vulkan perfectly.

Most people are playing sufficiently with a 1050 4GB - it must have more than 2GB VRAM

I would test the VRAM usage and see how does it really requires. I remember the story with Doom 2016 that Vulkan couldn't run properly on 2GB VRAM cards.
But again, It's Doom 2016 which requires more and I could reach more than 4GB of VRAM usage easliy on maxed out settings at 1080p.

Is there any settings that I should test them out? (I have no problem with VRAM, GTX1070 8GB)

no, you just need to watch a few games to let the vulkan shaders cache all the spells interacting with each other, and once the library is compiled, you should have no issues.
And you can obviously max out everything :)

When I first tried this, vulkan crashes once. But now I installed the proper SDK and i haven't had any issues. Played 6 games. Watched 3 before. and watch some while waiting for games ; it's pretty amazing :) Love the vulkan overheads :D My computer is incredibly silent during dota gaming.
