I need some tips playing as Arc Warden.

I think I'm decent in terms of denying and last hitting, but what really confuses me is what items I should buy first and other heroes. I get easily fricked by Phantom Assassin, Phantom Lancer, Skywrath Mage, and some other heroes.

I always try to get Hand of Midas as soon as possible, then the lightning hammer thing, Boots of Travel, the upgrade of the lightning hammer thing, then a shadow blade.

for easier control, you can bind select hero to capslock and select all other units for example to d, since i use qwer for spells is my key bindings, i use tempest double select it with d, then teleport with t, then i press A that is go there and attack command on map, the illusion will go and autoattack everything in the reach, if for example is fightning neutral camp and you will d-select it, then press a-in another neutral camp it will go there after claning first the camp is fightning. some basic helps but useful for beginner.

How you choose to solve your problem is up to you.

If it were me...
PA - Monkey King Bar and Manta Style (You need to deal with her evasion and her high songle target damage)
PL - Mjollnir and Satanic (Mj for illusions, Satanic for sustain... I personally would just Mj myself, satanic, and man up on PL)
Sky - BKB

Anytime you will take magic damage or even just 1 stun, I'd get BKB.

i cant download his replays, but there are better arc warden spammers i'm sure, just go in dota 2 client to watch tab, in the search for heroes type arc warden you will get high mmr games.

some other tips, you can use spark wraith to scout for you jungle if someone is coming and to kill lane ranged creep, always prioritize lane farm over jungle stack when you can and try to dont feed illusions.

I played as Shadow Fiend for like 5 or more games. I don't really like Shadow Fiend, so I chose Arc Warden.

better try supports first untill you get the good feel of game. and learn why you buy this or that item.

if you like mid that much for starters you may try sniper.

I don't go mid. I always play on the safe lane except that one time where I played with 4 other new players.

My personal build is:
starting: 2x slippers of agility ,1 circlet, clarity and tango - use clarity when sparking runes to get one easy, use 3 sparks while using clarity.
early: get 2 wraith bands and simple boots, it is easy to trap with sparks and flux your enemy on midlane, get around 2 kills and and buy midas because that item is crazily upgraded.
After that: get maelstorm and boots of travel and after these get mjollnir. Then get mkb; get skadi or bkb depending on the game; after these get daedalus, then sell midas and get butterfly, then get moon shard aura.
talent tree: 10: +300 flux cast range, 15: +50 attack speed, 20: +100 attack range, 25: 25% lifesteal.
It is essential to wrap up good right click arc for the end of the game.
Other than build use your spells as often as possible including ultimate. You will get this after playing around 20 games as arc.

taking more then you can chew lead people not ready for challenge and hardcore to fail and frustration.

the items you should buy are defined by situation and heroes you play against. as those are diffrernt in every game we cant really give you lots of advices.

his normal gameplay as carry consist of tping or sending his tempest to kill enemy supports. then get items to lockdown and kill enemy cores. mkb and hex may be very good choice for arc warden. eventualy eaten moonshard and aghanim.

but honestly you just started playing dota and took hero that have twice as much complex buttons and demand strong macro game then other heroes.

there is nothing forbidding you to, but are you sure you want it yourself? make your expirience in dota harder then it should.

I always ban either Phantom Assassin or Phantom Lancer (**the** counter of Arc Warden). Phantom Assassin it OP in my opinion.

What do I do with the 2 wraith bands in the late-ish phase of the game? Do I sell them?

you sell them when you lack space in inventory or when need some item asap and lacking some gold

Buy dagon.then you can double dagon in fights.
