Dota 2 and it's awful behavior system (30 MINUTE QUEUE TIMES)

I have decided to write this post because as someone who only plays dota 2 for the casual gamemodes it is unenjoyable anymore.

I do not know when this awful system has been implemented (perhaps a year already) but dota has a system to rate your behavior score. The score will be updated after every 15 games and is based of: The ammount of commends you recieve, ammount of games you leave, ammount of reports regarding cheating and/or disruptive gameplay, the ammount of reports for being actually toxic in chat.

The problem with this system is that the system only actually cares about if you leave a game or not (NOTE: Leaving in champ select does count as leaving the game...).

The only reason i still play dota 2 now and then is because i like to play some ability draft games, make some interesting builds or building around a specific talent or ability if you manage to get the abilities and an actually decent hero for it aswell.

Here is where i actually start about the subject, My behavior score is below the 3000 (below 2000 as of recent update), as i tried to queue up for games i have noticed that the queue timers become way too long (yesterday i had a queue timer of around 30 MINUTES while the game i played lasted only 21 MINUTES). Apparently this is because of my low behavior score.

The problem is that i do NOT have a low behavior score because i get massive reports based on my status every 15 games (infact i have 0 reports at all) the only reason my score dropped too much is because I LEAVE JUST 2 GAMES OUT OF 15, and those were both at champ select.

As mentioned about ability draft there are some heroes who have really ♥♥♥♥ talent trees that require you to pick most of their kit (why play ability draft then?) to have benefits from the talents (The gold you get from the talents as alternative is still nothing as a reward).

If i get for example Ancient Apparition i just leave the champ select (yesterday i got oracle and despite wanting to leave i had to playthrough an unenjoyable game where i had 0 WAVECLEAR and my only damaging ability gets CLEANSED as soon as i cast it).

The point is i just want to play some games of ability draft but i litteraly have to queue for MORE THAN 15 MINUTES atleast to possible find a game. To make matters worse also my chat gets revoked once your score is below 3000 (despite my score not being caused because of toxic chat). How am i able to communicate in a teamgame? I can not state any of my abilities their cooldowns, i can not suggest who to focus in a teamfight nor can i request which items i should build.

Valve really needs to put some effort in this system because it is ridiculous, even worse than the low prio system!

Hi, can I purposefully dodge games while still playing with high score teammates and with no penalties?

Seems you are unable to read, i only dodged those two times in champ select because the RANDOM HERO i got for ability draft is heavily reliant on having only his own abilities, a high score should not be determined by LEAVING IN CHAMP SELECT.

If it is below 2k,then u are left more,then 2 times,you do it all the time or you are just super toxic.Noone wants to play with ppl who are leaving all the time or just toxic as a whole.If youll keep doing what u are doing,you account will be permabanned

u left it before that then.Its not your behavior in last 15 games.It is your behavior as a whole.It just updates every 15 games.

Like the other guy said. . 3k beh score tells the whole story. Two games? Sure.

Ability draft is about severely broken heroes. Usually out of 10 characters on the map, majority are in some sort of disadvantage. There is always a hero that is struggling to do anything. So your idwa is to let those 5-8 players who got less than stellar configuration is to dodge and go for the next game until they land a manor op combo. Then ability draft should be removed altogether, because trust me in EVERY ability draft mathc there will be players questioning their hero and abilities they landed with.

I am 10k behavior score since the system came out. If you manage to get down to 3k there is more than 2 abandons happening here and you should probably ask yourself "why people hate me ?".

I agree that there should not be that tough penalty if you leave the game on champ selection.

I have seen it with other people aswell, the first that leaves gets an abandon and the rest can safely leave also that game will not count towards the behavior score anymore so you can not just play that game and that will adjust your score.

I have seen it with other people aswell, the first that leaves gets an abandon and the rest can safely leave also that game will not count towards the behavior score anymore so you can not just play that game and that will adjust your score.

That is because your general behavior score is way too low. At 3k score couple of reports or abandons are enough to put you in low prio because that's how system works. If you are 3k behavior score that means you are frequently getting reported by multiple people and that only happens if you are TOXIC AF. Sorry to break it to you but that's the way it works and i like the way it works.

I kow from a lot of people around me this system works and punishes toxic players. So just take my word and start beeing nice to people instead of typing into this forum because that will not solve your problem.

If you are still not convinced i also leave some pick phases time to time(when there is an emergency or smth) and i can confirm 2 leaves only gives me like 15 mins cooldown.

you did it to urself.Why are you complaning now?Ppl with your behavior score do not need a chat,coz we all know what you use it for.
