When it is safe to leave.

Good day, i want to ask about when is it safe to leave a game when a play is disconnected early into the game ?

Just now, i had a turbo match where one of my teammate disconnected very early into game (after the battle horn), from my experience if a player disconnected for more than 5 minutes, it should be safe to leave, however what happened was a message keep popping up stating that the player has abandoned the game. this causes me to sit through the entire game 2 vs 5 because 2 others teammates left as well.

Just want know what causes the game to be not safe to leave when a player is disconnected early into the game, correct me if i'm wrong i believe that ranked system should work like that however i was in a Turbo match.

There is one exception to leaving mechanics - leaving from low priority games is forbidden EVEN if you're all alone on the server.
As for the rest - you can easily leave the game, if so is stated near your Disconnect button. No matter what you see in chat, or what status your enemies/teammates have. As long as the Disconnect button doesn't have the "you're safe to leave" - you're NOT safe to leave.

That little text near your Disconnect button is the only true way to make sure you're 100% safe to leave.

Theres always the option of just playing to completion. I almost always commend everone who stayed if it gets to 2v3 or even 1v3

Thank for the responses, however it didn't really answer my questions, first of all it was not a low priority game furthermore, i've played many turbo games where people disconnected after 10 - 15 minutes into the game and the game still considered as safe to leave as shown under the disconnected button. to my knowledge the differences between people that disconnected early or late is that the stats will be recorded or not.

Can't help but wonder is this intended that a game have to met certain criteria in order to be safe to leave or i'm just encountered a bug.

If there's a criteria please let me know.

Are you confusing safe to leave and not rated? Almost every game in.which someone leave is safe to leave but only those where he did so before first blood aren't rated.

New mechanics now, you can't leave games anymore PERIOD. Even after someone abandons. It's so stupid.

No i'm not confusing safe to leave with not rated and i also thought that if someone leave then the game should be safe to leave, however in that particular game instead of being safe to leave (i tried to disconnect the game then the game just warned me about the penalty of abandon), the game just decided to keep showing up the player's abandonment message,

Really ? is there a patch note or something that i'm not aware of, this is actually quite dumb i literally sit through a 2 vs 5 game, luckily it was a turbo match and it only took about 15 minutes otherwise i'm just wasted 30 ++ minutes to play a game to lose.
