Steam keeps downloading dota 2 workshop content when i dont have the game installed?

i have the same problem, would like to know a fix. not had dota for a long time and never used the workshop or mods for it.

Same Problem. Never had Dota installed on this machine nor had i subscribed to any mods.

Settings/ Downloads/ Clear download cache.
Then it will ask to restart steam. Login and if your not subscribed for any workshop contents there will be no further workshop downloads.

clear cache .. if it wont work uncheck the work shop from the menu so it wont download any content .. if it wont work still .. go to settings you can disable auto update or dont download any unless you update them automatically ..

Think I found what it was. It's Guides. You can subscribe to guides in much the same ways as workshop content and it shows up as workshop content when updated.
