Necrophos is not a support hero ok ?

In my games. I cannot tell people and they do not understand that necro is not a support hero. They want me to do supporting things and i said ''i am not support'' . After that they start to swear and blame and even report me . I muted them and muted succesively and i get angry too. I just want to say something that you play a team oriented game. If you do not want , you can play individual games. Farewell cupcakes.

Yes, Necrophos is more a carry than a support. However the demand for supporting with him is still valid for an all carry setup which is not unusual. Then is has to be negotiated in the team which position everyone takes. Necrophos can be played as a tanky support, position3-4. Better at least than dedicated hard carries.

The thing is necro don't need the money, if you go for the 1 hit kill with dagon and scepter ulty (then you an kill a enemy every 25 sec if your ulty maxed) your set for the whole game so from the money that you don't need you can buy some support stuff. But you need to be set up first or else you lose with necro.

Did you play him mid? Then yeah you're not supporting. But if you played in a side lane with another carry then clearly you should support.

Yeah exactly. Read the description about the hero itself. There are a lot of heroes that can function as a support if not full, then semi support.

The heroes are:-
Zeus, Puck, NECRO, ES (some people love the carry variant I dont know why), Enigma,Death Prophet etc.

If the choice is between you and say a Legion Commander or a Phantom Assasin to take up the support role, the choice is obvious.

Also maybe you can play more individual games other than Dota2. This is the main reason why teams actually lose games when you have uncooperative individuals like OP.

Well, having a hero that needs to take kills and last hits to sustain himself, with a spammable, but expensive weak heal/nuke and an aura that harasses, but pushes the lane a lot is hardly an optimal kit for a support.

If you have Necro in an all carry team, the draft was already pretty bad. He just can't accomplish much without farm. He needs to get the lvl 6 asap to get a kill, he can't roam, he can't spam without mana...

I guess people sometimes he still wins with him because if you are behind, but still manages to get some kills with the ult, you can catch up from there, but I don't know, just seems like a waste of his potential. Being an INT hero with a heal doesn't mean he should be played as a support. He's not dazzle.

Indeed. What an efficent way to play the hero. Walk around slowing people down with Ghost Shroud, doing nothing else, and when your allie does all the damage, you go there and use your ult. Marvelous way to play Necro. What a support. Can't heal/nuke because you won't have mana to ult, you don't have a disable of your own...

If you play solo support then something's really wrong with your team. Solo support necro is not what you wanted to do. You should play it as pos 4, same as IO.

I have seen all types of heroes go to at least semi support. If your support had a hard start, can't farm or just keep getting ganked a good team will know how to redistribute the task so that warding and dewarding becomes a shared task.

That way your weak support can amass the gold needed to stay alive and get other crucial support items that helps the team.

This is the sort of attitude that wins games. There was an ogre in 1 of my games who decided not to support in 1 of my games because he was belittling his teammates particularly being too passive when he was aggressively warding.

Sure but since we all knew we needed the wards anyway, the most farmed guy, a PA bought them and I SB got the sentries.

We won the game of course.

What you need to know are that the roles are there as a guide for you especially for beginners. There is no hard fast rule to say which hero can or cannot engage on support tasks.

I play both dp and enigma like a semi support since both these heroes have no problems with farming.

And of course just like all other competitive games, there's too many selfish people out there playing dota like how they would csgo and wow. What they care about are their kills, items, end game dominance, farm etc and absolutely nothing about the welfare of their team.
