I have stated my evidence as an example and asked that BossGalaga guy to personally level his Battlepass to match mine and then see if he beleives Escalating Odds is a factor. There is no documentation even acknowledging the effect of Escalating Odds.
Escalating odds "allegedly" Increases chances of getting a rare/very rare/ultra rare drop with every Treasure opened. Yet the whole Rare section of loot is determined by RNG.
Which is why I raised the example of me opening 150+ treasures and not obtaining the numerous Cosmically Rare items.
Valve need to release information of drop rates and the mechanics behind Escalating Odds before we end up in the state of CSGO. As it stands Escalating Odds is basically buy more Levels to unlock Treasures and you might get a rare drop..........
The problem with RNG is You can never really know. That is simply the nature of randomness. Big data is only a measure to fight chaos with chaos, but it is very effective. Unless You collect data from thousands of Battle Pass users and start a boycott campaign, nothing will change really.
If You want things to change, You must show that You do not agree with the company's ways. Stop buying Battle Pass, or stop playing the game in general - these are the most effective ways to tell Valve to stop it.
You're free to think the drop-rate is to low, but since you went into this transaction not knowing the drop rate you can't later claim that you were misled or somehow falsely advertised too.
To quote MR Spock “Logic clearly dictates that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few." So Valve will not give a damn if I don't buy a Battlepass or Levels. They don't even care that we are being made to wait nearly 13 Months for the Roshan Statue reward from TI7...
For Valve saying increased chance of a drop when you open more treasures when rng is the only factor to get you access to the rare loot section is shady as f*£k.
Your argument is ridiculously flawed. The lottery exists and is based on balls being randomly sucked out of a spinner, there is no additional factor to increase your chances of winning the lottery.....
Have you heard me complain or say I feel I have been misled, don't make this into a "Awww he is salty because he hasn't got a cosmically rare drop...etc"
I am saying that there is nothing to prove Escalating Odds has a factor, when rng is the only thing that enables drops. I don't know how many times I need to repeat this point for it to sink in.
I love how people like defend the loot drop system so blindly, but are the same people who complain about Spirit Breakers 17% Bash Chance......
And this is why, on top of abstaining from paying for the game or even playing it, You make a campaign, You inform others of the ridiculous treatment the company gave You. New players that find interest in the game are more willing to listen than old players, but it is still worth to talk to old players.
Which is why I am stating my thoughts on here, albeit on deaf ears.
So basically I guess you should ask if Valve would want to rusk a multi-million dollar lawsuit (their legal fees alone would be absurd) for fraud, or simply hand out a few more digital items. Gee, what makes more sense?
What you mean? Like they did in China? Where they had to show the odds or face lawsuits? That should not be region specific, it should be known to everybody, or perhaps you mean how they had to close every API based gambling site which they were fine with so long as the skins were being sold and bought in the marketplace.
If you're willing to blindly trust what you see with zero documentation stating the drop rate and how escalating odds work then that is your choice.
If I were to guess I'd say you were between Level 300-360 on your Battlepass.....so tell me how have Escalating Odds treated you? Do you feel you have reaped the rewards?
I have over 4 x the amount of levels as you and I can assure you nothing changes with "Escalated Odds" when it comes to opening treasures.
I have received 2 x OD ,1 x PA, 4 x Golden DS, 3 x Golden Jugg, 4 x Lich, 4 x Golden Riki and 4 WK Sword with a 1574 Battlepass.
As I have stated multiple times now, all drops are rng based.
To (allegedly) manipulate rng based on money spent/treasures opened is also a little shady.
I don't usually open multiple treasures for the rare drops, because the rare drop-rate is always very low every year, no matter how many you open. I've got the Warlock set and if there's anything else specific I want, I'll wait and buy it on the market.
RNG in what way? You can't prove that escalating odds doesn't exist just because you didn't win the ultra-super-cosmically-one-in-a-million rare drop.
How so? It's specifically geared toward rewarding people who spend more money. The fact that you don't feel like you got ENOUGH of a reward isn't Valve's problem.
