Now if all your creeps are denied and you stay solo in lane touching nothing you get as much exp as if you were in double lane and lasthitted every single creep.
Actually pretty sad.
That'd explain how the solo Spectre me and a teammate bullied and denied still ended up 3 levels ahead of us.
As someone who almost exclusively plays support, I always enjoyed skimming a few extra gold from denying creeps; other than stacking camps and killing the occasional neutral or straggler creep (or succeeding in a gank), it was my only income in the early game. Carries seemed to be very bothered about that, because they'd quite often miss an enemy creep kill to land a deny that I was going for.
When teammates are in-fighting over table scraps, I can see why Valve changed it.
It is actually 40% exp denied.
Solo spectre is weak, you should be able to denie most of the creeps and even pull sometimes, how come he gets +3 lvl with 50% denied xp? You didn't deny enough I guess, he should barely be same lvl as your carry.
Many carries are stupid and greedy instead and they wanted all last hits and denies, that's why I'm glad they changed it, because it made me angry when my carries missed half the last hits to get denies, because he is too dumb do learn it gives less gold. Carries still do this mistake now that denying doesn't give gold anymore...
I misread indeed, you are right, it is 50%.
