I found my girlfriend in DOTA2

So I was playing ranked back November 2019 when I got teamed with a Crystal Maiden. I was playing Dragon Knight during that time as a Safe Laner. It was around 2 in the morning so I'm a bit sleepy, but you guys know DOTA is life, so I still played.

She complimented my set and told me it looked cool she keeps on chatting and my other teammates told her to STFU because she's flooding the chat, I ignored her at first because I'm focusing on blocking the 1st wave and then last hitting and denying. The laning stage is pretty difficult, I'm facing an Earthshaker and a Shadow Shaman.

3 times I was almost killed but the Maiden somehow found ways to save me. I remember running into a fog while being chased and then she put salve on me so that I could fight back after regenerating. She always dies when she saves me, but I always get the double kill, I noticed it a lot. I felt ashamed for her dying. So I started replying to her chats. I began by saying Thank You and then she floods the chat even more by saying how strong I was while I'm just doing my normal plays, so I don't understand why she's being like that. When we're winning she told me to turn on the mic.

Jesus, I heard the voice of an angel. She's a girl!!!

She told me how happy she was supporting me and that she just ranked up into Ancient after this win. I told her Ok, you're welcome. But then she said something weird. She wanted us to meet. I was like WTF!? I told her No, I don't like to meet with a stranger and then she named a few malls and one of them is just a few minutes drive from my home.

Reluctantly I agreed. After we won, she added me and then chat me her number. I told her I can't promise I can come because I might be tired next weekend but she keeps on insisting.

In the end we met, and I was really shy because I've never expected to date my ally in DOTA2 and I'm a bit skeptical about her motivations. It was a normal date, during our lunch date we talked about DOTA2 and how she loved playing Crystal Maiden and Queen of Pain etc. I admit during that time I still don't understand why is this happening. I feel confused.

We split the bill during the date and I told her I'll drive her home. During the night time drive she fell asleep on my car. I noticed she's cute but she's not like the hottest girl around, but am I really supposed to be in love with someone I met in DOTA2?

I feel like this is stupid.

I wasn't completely doubting you, just found it kinda amusing how it flowed when I was reading it is all. It's also never a bad thing to feel somewhat skeptical since you never know what could happen.

Hmm, evaluate yourself and the situation you are in. Some questions that you may use as a guide.

1. Do you see yourself having a romantic relationship with this girl? At present or in the future?
2. Outside of Dota 2 what interest do you share?
3. Are you perhaps misinterpreting her actions? Maybe it's just her personality to be friendly and share her passion of the game.

Let time flow between the two of you, after a reasonable amount of time together go back to question 1 maybe that will help you with your feelings.
