For some reason, the in-game option to "uninstall" a custom game does not properly uninstall it and therefore causing multiple issues such as being unable to read the files properly and causing errors. It's almost as if it's keeping the files temporarily in the game so when you want to install it on another time it would read it and install it immediately. This might be because there's multiple accounts on the same computer. hmmmmmmmm nothin suspicious
Possible fixes to this (so far I've tried, some work, some don't):
Option #1: Uninstall and reinstall Dota 2 (This usually works most of the time)
Option #2: Subscribe the workshop item, enter the game, quit the game, then unsubscribe the workshop item. Restart PC, then subscribe to the workshop item (not in-game, use the Community workshop.), wait for the install to finish, then enter the game. If it doesn't work, too bad.
Option #3: Verify game cache, enter the game, if the workshop item still does the same showing [Error] or MAP: ERROR or something like that, click the uninstall button in-game for the custom game, exit the game, then verify game cache again. After that, restart Steam.
problem solved thankyou so much for the help sir
