100 hours of gameplay is too much
100 hours of gaming is too much for our working friends. I think 50 hours is enough.
We have friends who do not start the game because of this condition please some support.
And there have been a lot of updates for the game, due to these troubles, the ranks need to be reset. Let the penalty process come to those found in the smurf accounts, they break the pleasure of the game

It's only condition to play ranked. They honestly have nothing to do there beyond this threshold. And even long after

It may be a good idea to raise plank to 300-500 hours, if we look how this players play.

I don't see why a newcomer would want to leave the game because he can't acces ranked... Actually I say I can't see why, but I get if you enter Dota 2 and already have a background of competitive gamer your goal might be to prove yourself and you feel it's useless to be competitive if you are not ranked on a ladder, but you should tell these people their winrate and game statistic before calibration counts.

So these 100 hours are not worthless in terms of ranking. For those who never even needed mmr to get their dopamine I really don't see why 100 hours would be a problem...

I disagree, 100 hours is not enough for ranked in my opinion, still makes it easy for smurfs and trolls to create fakies
I have done 3.5k hours and still feel like a noob in some games i play

If the friends who invited them to play Dota2 told them that ranked is the only right and fun way to play Dota2 then 100h are maybe to much. Right now the 100h is the only small barrier to keep the number of smurfs in ranked down to what it is. Besides the smurf issue I think 50h would be ok to qualify for a ranked qualification but I would make the qualification not be automated, means irrespective of results, but demanding a minimum mmr to pass the qualification.

You don't have to play ranked! dota 2 is incredibly complex and you probably cant even play against or with all of the heroes it offers , and let's not forget there are a lot of valid ways to play each hero.
100 hours is not that much. Ranked is incredibly complex and we have a smurfing problem so that's why it exists.

Objection: Ranked all pick isn't more complex than normal all pick.

I'll just add that even though I calibrated this account in 2013, I've been playing normal AP until 2016 or even 2017 year. Started just because normal AP was getting more cancer players each cons day.
upd: you don't need ranked as a newbie. rank points give you nothing. you may still be awfully bad having 5k or incredibly good at dota with 1k. Rank points mean only your luck with teammates (as 3-5 roles) or your dedication to it (1-2 pos)

100 hours isn't nearly enough to get the average player up to speed for ranked. Why would you want someone with inadequate game sense/experience to play ranked with you?

i think they should make it 100 matches instead of 100 hours in game, so that new players actually learn and smurfs actually waste their time on accessing ranked. you dont need to play ranked to enjoy the game btw, just have fun in pubs as a newbie

It's 100 hours in match. Most matches are less than 1 hours, some are even less than 40 minutes. I think 100h end up being more than 100 games.
