I wish Doom set Fires of vashundol will come back...
Wouldnt it be interesting if Fires of Vashundol treasure will have a relaunch this TI ?

Add them as an optional purchase, example, if you reach a certain compendium level then you can buy the IO arcana for $35. IO arcana, and prestige items 30$ each. The green immortals for 50$. I know Valve need to keep their compendium as a 'must buy now'. So making past exclusives expensive and tied to compendium levels, will keep people still buying compendium levels. With the items still exclusive to Ti keep the prize pool up.

When it comes to the treasures though, people selling them will lose money. So this will effect future Cache item sales. As less traders will invest in the cache sets. That's why there was a problem with spectre set, but not the sniper/gyro set that were also from the compendium, cause there are no investors with Gyro/sniper set, but still have the spectre set for trade.

I was looking for the Doom Ti5 for years, and I got the Doom Ti5 set last year for about 45$(in cs-go keys) off a trader through reddit rDota2Trade there are strict trader guidelines to protect users. Don't know if they're available anymore. I so desperately wanted the Ti5 sets that I didn't mind risking the loss, found someone who traded 1 by 1. I started with the less expensive Ti5 set first and worked up to the more expensive sets. These sets can only be gifted. So you must trade first, then they gift after, so it is a little risky. My guess is they will be super expensive now. Good luck trying to find one.

It's meant to be exclusive.

Valve obviously want to reintroduce some of these "exclusive" sets as evident from the Flowering Entropy fiasco a couple weeks ago. I don't doubt they'll try it again before too long using a different method than a limited time treasure, maybe through Dota+ instead. Perhaps even introduce an ultra rare cache you can get from TI9's cache that guarantees an old cache set. However they go about it, I want to see them come back eventually.

Did you miss the part where they fixed it and put out a notice saying that was unintended?

Here is the exact quote:

Including the Flowing Entropy set was an oversight - Collector's Cache sets are intended to remain exclusive.
This wasn't even on the official Dota twitter feed, it was just some guy that I assume works at Valve, his profile doesn't mention anything about it. No official statement from Valve or the Dota twitter was made about it. I have no doubt in my mind that this "oversight" was indeed Valve testing waters in releasing previously exclusive sets.

Honestly, the exclusive TI sets should get re-run, but only in specific TI-related treasures.

Maybe have a chest that contains the old sets, only during TI, give another chance for those creators to get some money. Then put them back in the vault for a while. IMO, all of the TI exclusives and immortals should operate this way. Give new players who weren't in the game 5 years ago a chance at some stuff they never had a first run at.

Valve operates their economy on the idea of some players having something special/unique that other players don't. They love that. This was the main sell of crates back when unusual hats got introduced into TF2.

What is interesting though is how much time has passed in Dota. If you have something that was exclusive years ago, is it worth it to re-run it? From a money standpoint you could probably look at the market revenue for trading see if its a good idea to flood the market with Dragonclaw hooks. But alternatively, keeping those items forever locked away might be a good sell for new exclusives that players don't want to miss out on.
Please no hate but I want LC immortal cape to return. :steamsad:
