Not able to run Dota 2 at 144HZ
Hi - I have a MG279Q, and i am trying to run dota 2 @ 1440p 144HZ setting. Every time i start dota, it resets the refresh rate to 60HZ on my display adapter settings, whereas in the game video settings it still says 2560x1440p (144hz).
I am using Windows 10. Can someone please help?

Here are my settings, and the chain of events that reset refresh rate:

a) Display settings - monitor refresh rate set to 144hz

b) In Dota 2 video settings, resolution set to 2560x1440 (144hz) - exclusive fullscreen window (or whatever it is)

c) In Dota 2 video settings - v-sync is disabled, and frame rate is capped to 143 FPS. Also i have tried this with both Vulkan and DX11

d) Before starting game, go to Monitor's OSD panel and refresh rate displayed is 144hz. After starting game, if you go to OSD panel of the monitor, refresh rate shown is 60 hz, go to display adapter setting and the refresh rate is reset to 60 hz over there as well.

e) Exit out of Dota 2 and refresh rate goes back to 144hz both on OSD panel of the monitor as well as display adapter settings.

f) If you do not run in exclusive fullscreen mode, 144hz options do not even appear, it allows only 60 hz in the other two options.

Graphics driver - AMD ATI Radeon Relive (latest driver)

Any help is appreciated.

{LINK REMOVED} It can be quite tricky to get it to work in borderless windows. elite is 163hz exclusive,(zi white arrow).maybe try that in exclusive mode.borderless windows would require an interlaced 144hz to work id say,but you need to figure it out yourself. so overclock it at 288hz and click the interlaced button.or maybe 143hz.

i have a 144hz monitor and dota automatically detected that. Not sure why you're having this issue

Dota automatically detects 144hz for me as well. But in reality its running in 60 hz. When I go into OSD settings to see what is the refresh rate being reported it shows 60hz, on monitor display settings it shows 60 hz, but in dota 2 the resolution selected is 2560x1440p (144hz). I close dota 2, and refresh rate goes back to 144hz on both OSD and monitor display settings.
