New Player looking for hero advice

Hi guys, I am a long time player of mobas, but I am new to dota 2. I played dota 1 a bit back in the day, really got into heroes of newerth for years and years, and switched over to league a year or so back, just because hon is pretty much dead.

I am wondering if anyone could suggest heroes that are similar to the guys I play in other mobas. I know some of the hon guys are ports from dota in the first place, but I probly want to start off with some fresh heroes to be honest.

My Heroes in Heroes of Newerth were:
Maliken, Demented Shaman, Plague Rider, Magmus, Jereziah, Berzerker, Slither, Ravenor, Zephyr, Glacius, Hammerstorm. My favorite role was strength initiator/semi-carry. My main 6 were Maliken, Magmus, Jereziah, Zephyr, Demented Shaman, and Plague Rider when I had to suicide lane.

My Heroes in League of Legends are:
Renekton, Zac, Sion, Kayle, Darius, Cho'Gath, and Lux. Really tho, I am pretty much a one trick renekton when I solo queue.

So, is there anyone in dota who is like Renekton? That would be my first choice, if possible. Basically anyone in the Renekton, Maliken, Berzerker, Darius, Zephyr, Sion type of hero class would be my jam.
